Antique Porcelain Portrait Plaque Angel KPM Quality Hutschenreuther German Hand Painted Signed Raphael Victorian Cherub Putto Putti Roundel

On offer an exceptional quality KPM or KPM quality, possibly Hutschenreuther hand painted porcelain plaque depicting one of Raphael's angels from the Madonna di San Sisto. This plaque is signed as shown on the reverse, and may be marked KPM in a location covered by the gilt brass band. Quite charming and the height of Victorian taste of the 1880s -- 1890s. This may have been set into a frame to be viewed on the wall, or possibly into the top of a jewelry box or music box. Comparable confirmed KPM plaques are sold for thousands -- and this is absolutely of that quality.

SIZE: 5.5" in diameter

CONDITION: Perfect, as far as I can tell -- I don't know how it survived in this state.
