Painting Seascape Oil on Canvas Harbor Boats Signed A Bain 1911 Framed

On offer moody seascape harbor scene oil on canvas depicting Mediterranean fishing ships tethered to a dock and figures engaged in seafaring trade. Wonderful minimal use of color, with blue and brown dominating. Artist signed lower right A. Bain and dated 1911. Handsomely framed in California, though this painting is most likely of an area in southern France. Exceptional representation of moving water and depth.

SIZE: Framed 15.5" T x 21.5" W

CONDITION: Overall quite good -- stretcher marks as shown, which could be restored away if so desired, but they do not detract. Pictures show all.
